Just wondering what farmers thoughts are on renuas agri policy could it happen or is it just spin for election votes or do you even agree with it.
I would be in favour of the most of it and would like to hear other farmers views.

It looks like complete spin. Something like what Sinn Fein would try with social welfare in underprivileged estates etc. Its all good in theory and I'd love to see it happen, but at what cost? If they can combine this with the proposed flat 23% tax rate I heard mentioned and show how they plan to fund it all, I'd be delighted to vote for them.
To be honest, having visited an Emergency room over the Christmas, I can't understand how the whole country isn't out on the streets over the conditions there ahead of any talk of money!

    Spin, spin, spin..

They can make any promise they want.. There isn't ANY chance of Renua EVER being a majority or even a minority party in government

They well know that their impending failure in the election will protect them from ever having to deliver on these promises.

I'd suppose it might be spin alright but good to see it getting some press all the same.
Area aid over 20 years ago was worth more than disadvantaged area scheme that came after it or the area of natural constraints we have today.
The more full time farmers that leave the land for other work the less politics will care as farmers votes will have less clout.
I don't know if they will ever fix the health system unless they can tackle the wastage and bureaucracy.
I spent 8 hours on a trolley a few years back waiting for my appendix to be removed and was pushed around corradoors out of the way so much when the surgical team sent for me they couldn't find me.
Just lucky I heard my name being called from the room next to the corradoor.
