Booking a Driving Test

    Hi Guys,

I have held two provisional licenses with the last one
    expiring in 2014.

I'm now trying to book a driving test so I can get my third learner permit, however every time I enter my details on the RSA website and click sign in it says my details have not been recognised.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I was told by the girl in the NDLS centre that I could still
book a test even if I have an expired license.

If you go to citizens information, it will give what's he rules and regulations are, one of the rules I have read is that you must have a current permit license

I don't really know about the ins and outs of applying online, but I can assure you that booking the test is not dependent on having a permit that's in date.

Are you sure you're entering every detail required exactly as it appears on your license? . You can ring them and book over the phone if you're still having no luck, an expired license won't stop you booking a test, you need confirmation of a booked test to renew your learner permit.

Check the driver number - it's not the large number, it's the smaller print one. That caught me out once.

I think there's a helpline you can ring, you may as well ring them to get the most reliable answer.
