Got in to my car tonight after not driving it for 3/4 days, started, took hand brake off car wouldn't move as if handbrake still on, moved forward 2/3 feet. then reverse, car goes up in back, dont move backwards, last time i drove it i did go through some flooded roads. now either seize cable or pads me thinks, whats the best cause of action next ?

Sounds like the shoes are seased for some reason. Get a bar theough the wheel against the rear hub and give it a smack of a hammer, should free it up. Usually happens when sittimg a while or the cold can do ot too but id say thw flood might have contributed

Give it ago in morning, yes the floods and then new years eve -3 freezing over night could have done it.

Yeah passenger side rear shoe seized, had to use screw driver to get hub off, banging with hammer had no effect, when it eventually came out one of the brake linings off one of the shoes came with it, shoes stayed in place, so out tomorrow to get new set of shoes.
