Don't believe there was no power cut or trip switch incident.... And article says he did not keep it plugged in for 20 years.

Your hole story is much more interesting.
    How deep did you get?

    What sized hole was it?

Did you come across any artefacts or dinosaurs?

There's no way that there wasn't some kind of powercut within 20 years. No infrastructure is that good. However I did like the stories of people leaving the same Quake (or was it Counter Strike) server running for 10 years and returned to find out that the bots had stopped fighting and had actually started working together in peace. Also the one where the guy had been playing the same Civilization game for the same length of time and it turned naturally into a huge nuclear wasteland.

It's a good job you didn't keep digging your hole to Australia, you would have been sickened when you turned up in China!

Thinly veiled I dug a hole story me thinks.

I spent three months trying to beat the water temple in Ocarina if Time back in 1999. I can do it in two hours now. :D
