Does anybody have any experience of this and what would the best thing to do be, how much would it cost? Car isn't running.

I'd say you are looking at 500-700 depending on where in UK and as a non-runner.

There are at least 10 car Transport companies listed on donedeal that do uk-Ireland car deliveries, give them all a shout for a quote
