The Written Word

I met a boardsie recently who in a drunken stupor reached enlightenment. And during this enlightenment he wrote a note to himself which read "Whatever you do - remember - perpetual language machine"

and the next day he could not remember what it meant.

So in that spirit. Have you ever been out of your head on something - like alcohol or other such bio products - that you left a note to your sober self for the next morning.

What was it? And what do you think it meant :)

The last thing I'd be doing is writing notes.

I've sent plenty of emails over the years then woke up in the horrors next day

Woke up one morning and found the words "Don't forget to move the body" written down my forearm. Still to this day I can't work it out.

Four weeks ago, I wrote 'Expired' on a sheet of paper at my desk and circled it, underlined it, the works.

I read it the next day and hadn't a clue what it was about. I was on my laptop when I wrote it so it's probably a subscription, a card or something. Nothing to do with food.

Anyway, four weeks later, something has expired and I still don't know what it is. It niggles me everyday.

After a heavy night out once years ago I found a note in my pocket that said 'Scaramouche' and a little plastic horse. I couldnt figure out if the drunken scrawled handwriting was mine or not. Pretty cryptic. Still have the horse somewhere I think, if Scaramouche ever comes looking for it.

In the 1970s I found a note in my pocket on Saturday evening with the word "Kilcolman". It won at 14/1 earlier in the day.

I got Mr. Springs autograph many, many years ago. I don't know if he was drunk but he scrawled something on it that I've never been able to make out.

I've never done that myself, the previous nights happenings were mystery enough, for me.
