    Hi All,
    We are looking at getting new glazing (double/triple??) on our terraced house. What were a looking for is the best value, don't have millions to spend. We are looking for 10 windows and a front and back door. We have had quotes but there seems to be no consistency between them and my knowledge of windows wouldn't be great. Am willing to pay for a quality product but just a bit clueless

    Firstly you need to decide what are your criteria for determining best value - the sales reps will have theirs and you can take it as given that they won’t have much in common.
    Some things to think about in terms of priorities;
    Heat retention
    Durability and replacement of components
    Certification – particularly applies to heavy triple-glazing ‘shoe-horned’ into frames designed for double-glazing.
    Workmanship of installers
    Security
    Aesthetics
    When it comes to price remember ‘there is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey’
