Fancy this one myself, 2/1 bet365 looks a nice price.

Single and also a double with Cape City Boy in the first, 9.75 double.

Horrific night with the in-laws has just wrecked any chance of me getting decent prices for the racing later on today :pac:

Needless to say, I have two picks for tomorrow. Very obvious choice is the 2:00 at Fairyhouse where Golden Wonder is a huge 12/1 being switched to hurdles allowing it to take advantage of a very nice handicap rating. I tipped this one up for the Irish National antepost last year at 50/1 where it cost a gang of mates and I the best part of a 5 figure return. No tip this time, because we're looking at a reappearance after a year and a half off the track. No dicking around with this one - it either wins or comes nowhere.

Other pick is one I had 2 weeks ago - Teelin Star was thought of as a very serious horse a few years back and attracted sizable offers as a p2p'er. It didn't quite delivery on its promise, but showed enough on a return after nearly 2 years off the track to suggest there is ability still there. Today's race is more difficult, but the step up in trip should suit this genuine stayer. If it can get over the fences without too much trouble, then I think it wins. 8/1 e/w in the 3:10.

Teelin Star did indeed attract plenty of offers but he failed the vet more than once and they couldn't sell him. Was one of the biggest hype horses ever!!
He hasn't an earthly today. Hard race less than two weeks ago off the back of 2+ years off.
White Arm in same race is a 140 horse running off a mark on 90's and will not come off the bridle if wanted today. All its runs were comical but think they will go for it today. Serious horse!

With the exception of an early fence he jumped them for fun...especially winging the last.

I backed a horse for each of the tv races for interest.

    Agreed.

I just wanted to lie on the couch in front of the fire and racing. A small 25c e/w heinz saw me the bones of €30 down so not too bad.

Two lovely strokes pulled of today , by two masters of strokes. Dalaki winner of the 1.15 fakenhem @ 50/1 had barney curley
written all over it. Trained by curleys man des donovan , beaten out of sight on its one run over hurdles @ 100/1
this fellow travelled like the winner all the way. Definitely didnt go unbacked ,either s.p. job or backed underground.
the exchanges created the sp. [275exchange price].

The second one the 2.40 @southwell had Patrick Veitch name on it. Two of Veitchs trainers Barron and Williams had fancied runners
with Stuart Williams heavily backed bring on a spinner winning from Barrons koothrappali given a lovely ride by Mulrennan
nice to see these boys still active, bookies still getting done.

If this horse was backed with the bookies, there is no way on earth it would have SPed at 50/1. Literally, £20 will move a 50/1 shot in a mickey mouse race at Fakenham! Maybe if you had a load of lads in various shops ready to put on £20-£30 as the tapes rose, you could get away with it.
