Hi, I'm finalising my 2011 stuff with regard to paye and such, obviously my window expires tonight. I normally use payeanytime to do this stuff but this year (2011), my medical expenses include orthodontics which arent claimable online.

Problem is I think I may have sent in a MED1 for the same expenses (included orthodontics which arent claimable online).

How can I tell if I did seeing as my memory is rubbish. A P21 normally follows from revenue when I've claimed relief online using 'anytime'. When I look at my P21 balancing statement for 2011, no health expenses are included. Where does the med1 update appear?

When you are filling in the form on line, you should see a section 'expression of doubt', if you flag the possibility of having submitted receipts previously then they can check it for you.

well just for posterity, I went back online on paye anytime, went thru the lot for that year, and went to the end of the end of their stages where you hit the final final final button to submit your request and saw nowhere to make an expression of doubt so decided - maybe to my own loss - to back off and log out for that year. Lesson learned to keep a better eye on my own affairs.

I came across the expression of doubt when I was claiming back all expenses on PAYE Anytime including the Med 1 expenses last year and used it then. I got an auto reply when I submitted the form to say that the claim would be processed in due course.
Maybe that has changed since last year.....
