Are there any abattoirs in Ireland that buy finished meat goats?

    If so, where are they?

    Thanks.

ICM Camolin, and maybe others, have slaughtered goats but whether they were buying them or obliging someone I don't know.

There is a guy in Dangan Co offaly, he is licensed to kill them.

List of all low through put slaughter houses, search for county or Caprine

I did a dairy goat production course with teagasc a few years ago and back then there was no where to get the male goats killed. It was a shame as all the male kids were knocked on the head at a day old and sent to the kennels. It would be great if there was a market for these kids as it seemed to me to be an awful waste.

There may now be a sufficient immigrant population in this country for which goat meat would be a normal dish. Perhaps it's a niche market worth checking?

Used to buy kid meat in Buckley's in Moore Street years ago - delicious eating and economical.

I thought there was a spot in Donegal that killed goats.
