Mixer bath tap

    Whether I pull or push this "switch" the water comes from both the bath taps and the shower hose ....I am presuming that this needs replacing ...my question is now .....how does this come off ....before I go at it with vice grips !!!

    Some of them are accessible with an Allen key when you take the hose off.
    That's the way the one in my old house was anyway, but looking at our current one (which kinda looks like an olde worlde telephone!) I have no idea how you'd do it!

    Can you unscrew the knob?
