    Hi all,

    I have the nct next week and the central locking is acting up. Driver side rear door wont open when i unlock. Is this something that will fail the test or no?

    Shouldnt be an issue, provided when it is unlocked it an be opened from the outside. As in if you can open it from the internal handle to override the lock mechanism, then when you close it you can open it again. If you follow...

    Just leave it unlocked.

    Unfortunately sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but you can be certain that it won't work on the one day I need it to.

    As Waterson said, once it can be opened/unlocked from the inside (either by pulling the Door Opening Handle, or by unlocking it first manually....if it has a manual lock) then there wont be an issue.
    Lots of cars around without central locking that can only be opened from the inside if the door is locked, they all pass the NCT.

    As expected the bloody door wouldn't open. Had it open the night before. Locked the car out of habit and car wouldn't open for the test.

    Failed on two points. door and seat-belt.

    Middle seat belt is seized up and wont release. Does anyone have any ideas for the seat-belt. Do I just wd40 the **** out of it or does it need to be taken apart?

    You would probably be best getting a new seatbelt fitted, should be easy enough to unbolt and then fit the new one. You could of course try wd40 and see what happens, might help a bit.
