Just received an email of emails. (Names and order numnber removed)
    Customer,

I’ve passed on your requests to my colleague Xxxx. She handles non-exam refunds and will follow up with you if there is anything additional required.

    Regards

    Hi Customer,

    Thank you for your e-mail!

Your query has been dealt already by my colleague, as per attached e-mail.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards

    Hi Internal Colleague,

Credit and rebills are already in process

    Best regards,
    Header and email information
    Hi,

Will you amend the taxes for these two shipments..

Correct tax for both €6.47 (each) + the admin fee= Total now due 18.97
    AWB;s 6xxxxxxxx1 & 6xxxxxxxx0

Customs freight rate was added cnee has provided order with actual freight amount.

    Thanks

So now they have acknowledged that they made a mistake that could have been rectified in one phone call to their account holder in China.
But that would be too easy.

The same Woman who told me there was no mistake (and earlier asked if I would get them cheaper in Ireland) and told me to just pay it has seemingly gone quiet, and I am also going to be charged their newly increased "admin" fee of €12.50 for a tax of €6.47.
For items that are ~ €5 over the VAT threshold.

Maybe I should have been rude, or at the least stern. This seems like they are well and truly taking the p*ss.

Over three weeks of me having to do all the emailing, having to push everything, emails ignored, phonecalls not returned and they have the effrontery to charge me their "admin" fee for both packages.

I don't think they should be charging me at all, but they could at least offer to waive the admin fee. Or at the very least charge me the original admin fee. (To which I would reply with something unprintable).

Seemingly very lazily staffed company with zero pesonality and the internal staff seem to leave all the actual work to the delivery people.
Have to wonder if they had a strike what would happen.
    They'd probably implode.

I am aware of the belief that people only put 'pen to paper' when they want to complain.

But THIS still says a lot.

    * Sidenote - I mentioned to one of the DHL staff that I would\could never use them again, and when I was asked "who would you use?"
I said that I didn't know, UPS or TNT, I was told they were worse.... :o

    DHL.

I emailed DHL yesterday asking them to tell me when to expect the parcels, as I will be in work, this has gone on long enough, I would just rather it be over and done with. I will pay the due tax and ridiculous admin fees, just let me know when so that I can arrange for someone to be there.

I received an email this morning.
    Good Morning Xxxxxxx,

    Apologies for any inconveniences!

I can see that the shipment AWB 4**********4 is with the driver at the moment.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx

    Dear Customer Service,

Could you please advise Xxxxxxx regarding AWB 4********8.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
There is also a giant screenshot of one parcel tracking. Stating that items are to be delivered on the 29th of December.
    (More passing on)
    Thanks Xxxxxxx,

That's only one of them, could you tell me where the other is please.

    Like I said,

I would just like this to be over as soon as possible.

    Thank You.
    Email header and information
    Hi Xxxxxx,

I have included Customer Service in my e-mail in the morning and asked them to advise you. Only they will be able to track and trace the second parcel. Please see below.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx

I didn't want the delivery to arrive when nobody was there, so I rang customer service, asked where both packages were, I was told that one was out with driver and the other is in some other area.
I explained that I would like them both at the same time as I have taxes to pay and Admin Fees and would just like this to be over with as soon as possible.
He told me that one hasn't been assesses/corrected for duty tax yet or it just hasn't been ammended. Then aked me if I have got confirmation of the other one.

I said yes, I have been given confirmation of both (email a few posts above) and that they are both the same items, I sent all of the same information with details and screencaps for both items to customer care, Queries, Customs and eventually the final guy I was given to forward everything to.

He asked me would I like to accept the parcel this morning and receive the other on Monday, or reschedule and accept both together.

I said I would like to reschedule and accept both together, as that would be far easier, and much more convenient. Also, I don't want to accept one, and then have to go through all of this cr*p all over again with the other.

He said "no problem, I will reschedule, is there anything else I can help you with?"

    No, thanks.

I fired off another email, as I decided to inform them I wanted it rescheduled, and anyway they still hadn't replied
    Hi,
Reschedule until both are together, and I will pay together,

    Thank You.cleardot.gif

    Dear Customer Service,

Could you please look after this, as per below.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx

That was a few hours ago.
Not heard anything else, so I now have to wait until Monday...............

I bought two phones from Geekbuying, both using DHL, and both times DHL added 35 euro for customs and a 10 euro admin fee..

Since then, I have never used DHL again,,, they seem to be just scam merchants, and have been doing this for way too long, Geekbuying should look at who the deal with..

Regularly got stuff (tat from 40cent to gizmos with a value of €120) from HK with free shipping.

This thread is pretty much why I risk AnPost when buying stuff from HK.

Free shipping that takes 3 weeks or a month with HK Post or China post yes, it would be reasonable to see free or cheap shipping. Getting it shipped on a €90 Express service for "free"?? Customs are bound to be be suspicious.

Probably jacked up the admin fee on account of the time they've wasted trying to sort out this mess

Both items arrived today with DHL reidiculous fees included, even though they were over a month after ordering. I would literally have been better off in every single way to have used normal post.

Paid it. Will never accept anything from DHL again.

Cost of items = ~€18.50 each
Cost of DHL shipping = €10 each (putting them over the Duty/VAT threshold)
    Duty/Vat = ~€6.50 each
DHL 'Admin' fee = €12.50 each

    DHL total = €45
    Items total = ~€37
    Duty/Vat total = ~€13

Overall Total = ~€95
