    Folks,

I've a model 41 on the way and I want to know what holster and magazine holders/pouches people who shoot in competitions use for the 41 bearing in mind that I'll have at least five magazines charged at any given time (for T&P).

I'm having trouble finding a suitable holster. The tan smith and Wesson one is nice but they won't ship outside the US. Also, I'd prefer open pouches.

    Thanks

The Höppner and Schumann Speedsec 5CW is available for the Model 41. http://www.sportshooter.de/en/equipment/holsters/for_pistols/hoeppner_und_schumann_speedsec_5cw.htm

I used a speed holster got of eBay for £26 for my S&W model 22a does the job well, fully adjustable. Clone of the one above from Sportsden. I used it for the gallery shooting comps. as do a lot of people. Faster to draw when shooting comps. than using an enclosed holster.
I still have it here, in red colour, and will sell at €35 inc P&P

You'll also get the mags holders from eBay as well.

Thanks. What mag pouches suit the skinny 41 mags? I see the magnetic ones but I'm not sure I'd like those.

http://www.sportshooter.de/en/equipment/magazine_pouches/hoeppner_und_schumann_speedmag_5_22.htm I have these for my Hammerli Xesse but they fit 41's to, and the Big Dragon holster on ebay or amazon will work to I have one and my friend has 1 for his 41. It's universal so adjust to your gun.
Also you will get away with 3 magazine holders you don't need to buy 5, load all your 5 mags but in any one practice the max you will need is 3, take your other mags and put them in your pocket and transfer them to your belt for the next practice, the €50 saved will buy your belts http://www.sportshooter.de/en/equipment/belts/ I got my outer and inner belts of these guys as well, or you can look at the Big Dragon IPSC belts on ebay/amazon http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIG-DRAGON-IPSC-SPECIAL-SHOOTING-BELT-BLACK-/251448503692?var=&hash=item3a8b7fad8c:m:m8lWtZMGgbPpGMi-XO8HyjA

    Thanks guys,

@ wadi. Cheers mate. I'm used to 6 for the 10/22 so 3 feels like too little. Plus it's always good to have a spare mag (or even two) charged with 1 or 2 rounds in case of misfeed/stove mid match. Do you share belts between guns? I was planning on using the same belt I have for my 10/22. I've been a 1 gun man up until now so is it inconvenient sharing a belt?

Most comps its 2 mags per practice if I have 5 filled 2 in my pocket and 3 on your belt I feel I have plenty on me, but if you want more then that's your prerogative lol
http://www.neiljonesshooting.co.uk/stock-list.htm is the guy who does the leather Gallery gear it can be bought through Declan Byrne, I just use a wide leather belt I bought it Dunnes stores and have my 10/22 leather pouch on that it does the job and keep the IPSC belt set up solely for the pistol, holster and pouches never come off it.

Well, took your advice and ordered the belt and pouches and 5cw speed holster just now. I tend to do overkill so I got four pouches. Both spoortshooter and brownells are out of '41 mags at the moment though so I'll have to wait yet. I'll have all this gear weeks before the gun but it's nice to be prepared.

    Thanks guys.

There is nothing wrong with over kill when it comes to preparation for shooting, as the old saying goes, Better of looking at it rather than looking for it.
Best of luck with the 41 , really nice pistol and you can show it and all the gear off to us at the shoots in 2016 lol.

Why not get a custom holster, belt and mag pouches made up? I've recently been making custom 10/22 mag pouches for gallery rifle and other custom leather shooting gear and can sort you out if you're interested.
