From executive producer/writer Rand Ravich (“Life,” “Crisis”) and executive producer Howard Gordon (“Homeland,” “24”) comes THE FRANKENSTEIN CODE, a modern reimagining of the Mary Shelley classic, about a man brought back to life by two scientists playing God.

Seventy-five-year-old JIMMY PRITCHARD (guest star Philip Baker Hall, “Modern Family,” “Magnolia”) is a shell of his former self. A drinker, a womanizer and a father who always put work before family, Pritchard was forced to resign as L.A. County Sheriff for corrupt conduct more than a decade ago.

Now, some 15 unkind years later, he is killed when he stumbles upon a robbery at the home of FBI Agent DUVAL PRITCHARD (Tim DeKay, “White Collar”), one of his three children. But death is surprisingly short for Jimmy, who is brought back to life by billionaire tech-genius twins MARY GOODWIN (Dilshad Vadsaria, “Revenge”) and her brother, OTTO (Adhir Kalyan, “Rules of Engagement”), founders of the social networking empire, Lookinglass.
Resurrected as a younger version of himself, with physical abilities of which he never dreamed, a re-animated Pritchard (Rob Kazinsky, “True Blood”) is given a second chance at life.

What will he do with it? Will he seek vengeance against those who killed him? Will he try to repair the damage he did to his family? Will he embrace a new sense of purpose or fall prey to old temptations?

Came across this on IMDB; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4378456/

Just a heads up; the trailer has spoiler after spoiler of the 1st episode, but it looks pretty good.

Looks like it'll be about a "normal dude" with super strength. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Watched the pilot this morning and really enjoyed it. It's pretty high concept and original. The twins are interesting characters and it's good to see Tim DeKay back on TV.

As long as it doesn't get too procedural, it has huge potential.

The only downside can be summed up in one word - Fox.
If it doesn't hold its audience, it's screwed from the start.

    Starts officially on January 13th.

If it's threatening to be yet another procedural, I can't see how it won't flop: surely even US audiences themselves are getting tired of the often barely-disguised format. It's a full-on red flag for me now & new shows; even those I've recently got into & enjoyed - iZombie for instance - the procedural format is actively lessening that enjoyment.

The second episode was good too. If the numbers keep dropping, it's doomed.

It will be cancelled. FOX is moving the show to Fridays to burn it off, after two terribly rated episodes.

I'm not sure i'll bother with the rest if Fox are bumping it already

Good ending to episode 3. They could have dragged that out all season, but it'll make things better out in the open.

I'm curious enough to keep watching, but there is something that doesn't quite click in the series. Maybe they should have played up the Frankenstein angle; they've really only paid a bit of lip service to it, to give viewers something familiar to get them to tune in. The procedural crime-of-the-week aspect doesn't really work for me either.

9 episodes in and this has evolved nicely. The conspiracy with the rival company (and undead mole) is fascinating, and I'm curious to see how far Otto will go with his hate for Pritchard.

Any chance of a season 2? I've only watched one ep (looks good) and do not want to see spoilers with a google.

But if no season 2 or it ends stupid then I'll pass.

It's not a particularly extreme opinion; Fox have a pretty poor track record supporting, broadcasting and renewing its own high-concept SciFi. No idea what the ratings have been for this, but given the dearth of chatter around it on the interwebs, it seems destined for Fox''s increasingly large SciFi graveyard

At the very bottom for FOX's shows, similar to the already cancelled, Minority Report.

Ah, well, there you are then. Dead show walking. Wonder what it us about Fox that it seems continuously incapable ofincubating half decent or successful scifi. Bad luck, bad programming management perhaps. Or maybe I'm just focusing too much on the failures,.
