Sitting down to a box of roses, a turkey sandwich and the screening of the hobbit, fair enough it started early and understand why they interrupted it to show the 18.01 news but now there after stopping it again to show the friggin lotto, there's only 15mins left in the movie, surely nuala Carey could have waiting a few minutes

Lotto always goes out at 8 PM Saturdays. Most movies they screen get interrupted for it. There's often sport on RTE 2 at the time so far easier to stick an adbreak into a movie than into a live match.

Just checked there, the Big Bang theory started at 8 o clock, surely they could have delayed this a few minute

Well it's called The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey. You didnt expect to get to the end without a few deviations from the beaten track, did you.

Lotto always goes out RTE1 @ 8PM. The draw is live. There's normally a family movie on on Saturday evenings complete with multiple ad-breaks. It's the logical place to air it.

FloatingVoter added in RTE1. The Lotto is always shown on the main channel.
