    Hi all,

    I have this strange problem with my network. (im on a VDSL line, 30/7 down/up)
    @vfiefttc.ie as the username works perfectly most of the time for normal browing, you tube, netflix etc but i have a couple of strange problems.

    For example, when my son's xbox wants to download a large firmware or game update, the update hangs and never completes, i have to reset the VF modem and connect to that to complete the download process.
    I have the same with an itunes update, i have to reset the HG658 and turn off my Asus router.

    im just wondering if this is a NAT problem or port forwarding problem(not enabled) or something else or if anyone else has experienced similar problems when bridging the VF modem......?

    apprecaite any thoughts as otherwise the ASUS modem is excellent, significantly enhanced coverage and throughput.

    Are you using MTU setting of 1492?
    Default is 1500.

    Yes, both MRU/MTU set to 1492
