So the last few days my HTC One M8 which is less that two years old has been acting very weird. It is on the latest stock Android OS.

Some of the things which are happening :
Screen rotating even though "Auto Rotate" is turned off.

Refreshing apps to the top such as Facebook and backing out of keyboard while typing on chrome.

Screen lighting up while the phone is locked and even though Im not getting notifications.

    Snapchat app started crashing.

I have reset the phone and also reset the G-Calibration, Any one experienced anything simillar? Seems as if the phone is just malfunctioning.

havent seen it myself anyway. Is it stock rom you are running or some other one? Perhaps wipe again but set up as a new phone?
saving that, marshmallow should be out shortly..

Yeah I had that problem with mine. It just went away after a week or so. Didn't matter how many resets I gave it. I restored a backup point from the HTC app and that didn't fix it either.

My M8 was stock all the way with all the latest updates installed. I don't know what cured it in the end. It ran like a champ for 18 months before it started acting up exactly like your first post. It's been fine ever since.

Hopefully I get the same result, it can be perfect for a while but then back to the same problems again, very irritating.
