I was googling for sources of car finance if I do make a change in 2016 and this crowd came up pretty often. In fact on cbg.ie it lists 100s of dealers in the country that use bluestone. Including main dealers of nearly every manufacturer. Does anyone know anything about them? I usually buy my cars in cash but am thinking about moving up to a price range where I would prefer to finance some, if not all, of the purchase. I might have a slightly damaged credit rating as I was slow paying off a loan in the past with a bank. Can't contact them directly about finance it's more of a find a car in one of the 100s of dealers we are associated with and let them offer our finance. Is this what dealers do? I thought dealers went to banks.

I get the impression that they deal with the chancier customers that get turned down by the big banks.

    Pretty much it.

You'll pay a hefty APR too, probably around 15%.

Could always spot the customers looking to trade up who wouldn't have a hope of getting finance from the AutoXchange plate surrounds, you could smell the negative equity off the cars!

Seem very similar to payday lenders for people with poor credit ratings or don't qualify for regular finance.

Credit checks/ratings go back 5 years. So depending on when your loan was, a bank may still be an option.
