    Hi,
I am looking for information on what a 68 year old Pensioner applying for a Medical Card should do. I understand there is guidelines for people who are 70 plus who are pensioners but I cant find guidelines regarding someone who is a pensioner between the ages of 67 to 70...
Just information such as is there a different form for this situation, is it mean tested, Earnings etc

    Appreciate any advice and help

Set out in this document (see under Assessment of Income) are the income limits for the means test for those over 66 but under 70. Different rates apply as soon as one of you reaches 70.

Are they both on State Pensions, or is there other earned or unearned income?

If your only income is a means tested Social Welfare Allowance, you will qualify for a Medical Card.
