I'm relocating to Dublin soon and internet + tv is going to be my best friends initially till i make some friends. besides i might work remotely from home time to time
so i need a descent connection.
What options do i have ?
P.S I am delighted to learn that there are no TWC or Comcast in Ireland.

The only company that does internet (240mb) and tv over cable is virgin media. you can get internet over phone line (up to 100mb) from on the likes of eir, sky, vodafone. You could get tv over satellite from sky, or iptv through phone line from eir.
    Subject to availability of course.

You will be delighted to hear that the cable company in Ireland Virgin Media (formerly UPC) is actually excellent, offering 240Mb/s broadband for very reasonable prices. A million times better then Comcast, etc. in the US.
