I have been texting a girl that I met few days ago on a night out. Everything was going well I texted her and all going well. I arranged to meet her over Xmas and she said she would and that was fine she was all on for it. She was asking me something about the party I met her at and I responded, it was nothing offensive by the way but she hasnt replied to me after the text. I expect the worst now she usually responds within few mins or hours depending. She hasn't responded since 4 o clock.

What should I do next? Will I wait for her to make contact or should I text her in a few days and if no response well then I will know for definite she doesn't want to continue.

I don't understand, could the content of the text be taken badly?

Plus, people have other stuff going on, maybe she's busy, don't over analyse things.

There was no rude content in it or anything like that. Nothing offensive at all.

    What should I do next?

Wait until tomorrow. Maybe your text didn't need an answer. Dont play games. If you want to text do... just dont be needy. You have to remember its Christmas week. People are busy and have stuff on.
If she doesnt answer your next text leave it then.

Would it be ok to wait until Xmas eve? I don't want to come across as being needy as you said. I could send her a message then for xmas and surely it would get a response, or do I need to be in contact with her before that?

    Hi,

I've moved your thread to PI as it's not suitable for The Ladies' Lounge. Please read the PI charter.

maybe a happy christmas text on christmas eve would do no harm. if you get a response well and good. if not, maybe just let it go for the moment.

Christmas can be a very busy time for people - there are 100's of legitimate reasons why she didn't get back to you. I know your head can be racing when texting someone new you are interested in but take it easy - it's not even been a day yet. If she doesn't get back to you soon no harm dropping a text in a few days wishing her a happy Christmas and letting her know you are still interesting in meeting up in the new year. If you hear nothing back again at that stage it's time to move on and chalk it down as a swing and a miss. Just don't be overthinking it too much!

No harm in one more text just to set your mind at rest, but if there is no reply, then leave it there.

Sometimes no answer is your answer, as annoying as that is.
