Ok this is a bit tricky. I'm not going to name name's for legality purposes. I signed up for an online service some years ago. When I signed up I made sure the 3rd party box was not ticked and it has remand that way in my preferences ever since. I received notice that privileges with the service have been revoked and an email on how to appeal. My conclusion of my info/data being shared with a 3rd party goes like this the service has a review process for code of conduct issues they recently gave their users the power to review complaints and based off of their users recommendation revoke privileges. Are they not in breach of our agreement based on the fact that they are giving their users the power to review information which should only be reviewed by employee's of the service?

I myself can sign up to be part of this beta programme and review other users data/info and basically do someone else's job for free. In order for me to appeal the privileges revoked I have to sign up for and accept the terms of the beta programme. My trust in the service because of this has vanished. I would never have agreed to my info/data being shared with the users of the service and if I was given the choice I would have opted out of other users being able to review suspected code of conduct issues.

The privileges that have been revoked will lapse in 6 days and everything will go back to normal. I have talked with the support of the service and they pointed me towards the beta programme. From a legal stand point what should I do?

It's hard to tell if they're in breach of any agreement without seeing the agreement.

The agreement was not to share content with 3rd parties plain and simple. There may be several chapters on that part of the agreement though!
