What is the Other Cable on the Router called?

Not the cable from router to PC (I have plenty of those Cat5 or adsl or whatever they’re called). The other cable, from the UPC yoke on the wall to the router – what is it called?

I need to move my router but the cable from the wall to router is too short. I have a longerCat5 cable but how/where do I get the ‘other’ cable for it (and what are they called)?

    Thanks.

Also dont move it too far as you can degrade the quality of the line.

That would be the case with phone line broadband over copper but would not be an issue with UPC\Virgin cable.

The noise would go up surely, degrading the signal. Especially if using cheap cable.

COAX uses shielding so its much less susceptible than UTP.
