    Hi,

    I am looking to buy a Free sat box for my parents and I was wondering could someone please recommend me a good one:)

    Cheers, The HUMAX HDR-1100S has got good reviews so I think I will go with that and cancel sky :)

    I got the 1TB 1100s box and ditched Sky. Happy with it. Had to factory reset it once as it reported no Sat signal for some reason (there was when tested). The factory reset doesn't delete the recordings, only the scheduled ones. So take a photo and easy add them back. Factory reset seems to be the 'fix' for a few things from reading the forums...... Other than that slight issue it's been fine. The interface and remote aren't as friendly as the Sky ones but you get used to it.

    The Freesat app on the phone is very good. Can remotely set recordings and view what's recorded if you connect it to the internet.
