    HI all

Given the fx rate I know this is unlikely but has anyone vrt'd a Cayenne Turbo recently?

I'm hopefully in the market for one in the new year and they are hens teeth here so I might have to travel but I'd like to have an idea of the vrt before getting a massive bill from the NCT gang.

So if anyone has done so or is a dealer and can get me a quote I'm looking for figures on a 06 (preferably) Turbo or Turbo S.

    It's that or a diesel Q7 😉

    Thanks in advance.

    Garvan

I exported one 18 months ago and received 4600 for my VRT refund. Should be similar

No they won't. Won't even entertain you.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

its kind of pot luck on importing it. find the highest price one on donedeal / car zone and assume 36% of that cost (or whatever the co2 figure is)

Just has to have been registered here, a car bought new here would qualify. (If registered in the VRT era, presumably?)

Motor check have a vrt calculator on their site. I don't know how accurate it is but it's worth a try.

Just get a reg on auto trader or piston heads

That calculator is only for basic cars that 99% of people in this country seem to fancy. For the 1% of us who actually like cars, it's no good

I emailed the predecessor of the nct crowd about 3 times about importing a Porsche and got no reply at all in 2 cases and 1 reply in the other case after about 4 weeks and the clearly had no idea what kind of car i was talking about, even though i gave them all the details. I believe things are far worse now.

Maybe we should all just buy 0.6l Hyundai diesel sh1tboxes to please the government

Cayenne has been in production for 13 years so I doubt the vrt will be similar for them all!

You'll not get a price til you land to the VRT centre with it, even then they could take a few weeks to get back to you. It varies lately with cars that aren't on the system but theres no way of knowing what it will be.
