    I'm thinking of getting a bike for commute to work.
    Any points for or against foldable bike like brompton?

    Don't have any particular preferences! From johnstown road to st vincent hospital and back.. In future may need to travel to city centre

    The Brompton is a great bike. If you have security concerns, it can by handy to bring it in and leave it under your desk. You can bring it in a car easily, or on public transport. If you have storage issues at home, it's can fit in a corner, or under the stairs.

    If you don't have any of these issues, it's probably not required. It's pricey enough, if you don't really require the excellent foldability.
