Vista 32 bit Sound Forge 11. I can record streaming but i cannot hear it as it records. To hear it I have to change the playback device. Is there any way around this as it is very inconvenient

Under recording devices in Vista right click and "Show Disabled Devices". If there is a Stereo Mix option disabled enable it, see if that fixes the issue

I presume monitoring is enabled in Soundforge?
It's also possible your audio card is not capable of recording and playback simultaneosly.
