    Its the 1.3l petrol version, is it a timing chain or belt on the engine?

    1.3 is chain.
    1.25 is belt.

    How often should it be changed?

    If its belt , then either 125k or 9 years. Could be wrong on that one.

    Its the missus' car so never been done and hitting that mileage, must arrange for it so!

    on older model fiestas with the same engine it was 100 k miles and ten years I believe.

    Ford revised the belt change intervals recently its now 8 years or 160k km.
