What's the hold up on the Dublin building boom?
Heard a survey that an estimated 150,000 currently living at home would move out if they could find somewhere affordable, not to mention the general shortage for anyone moving to the Dublin area and low cost housing.
Is there a lack of developers or is it financial?

The easy money that came in from the EU banks with zero security required no longer exists.

People who need houses aren't in a position to build them. People who are in a position to build them are quite happy with the current state of affairs. 'Twas ever thus, and ever thus shall be...

Typical 2 bedroom in south dublin would cost you around 500k, which means you need 100k saved. Do the 150,000 people living with their mums have this money lying around?

Half a million for a 2 bed in Dublin and this isn't a property boom, christ there's something seriously wrong.
