we have a small henley stove it heats the rads and the water, it is just grey/black in colour matt finish it actually looks like it was never painted, it is less than a year old, is it possible to paint it? with something like hammerite or a purpose made paint that would withstand the heat, the missus is sh*ting on about the colour saying she wanted a burgundy shiny one (stove I mean), the stove is not in the fireplace ( you can see the whole stove i mean, except the back of it) any advice?

If you google heat resistant stove paint you can buy different colours online.
Calfire is one brand that comes to mind.

Dunno about painting a stove but you can tell your missus that those shiny ones are enamelled and much more inclined to crack and flake off the enamel so she should count her blessings that she has a plain cast iron stove

Wouldn't chance it. Even heat resistant paint won't take the extreme heat. Also there would be some stench as the coating burns off.
