I'm wondering if someone can help me
Iv been seeing a woman for sometime now and we have decided to move in together

She has two kids (not mine)and is on lone parents, my take home pay is €439 a week before any outings loans etc.
So we are wondering if we go ahead with this
Would her payment then be stopped altogether or what way would things work?
    Thanks

Yes, her payment would be stopped altogether and you would be able to apply for Family Income Supplement.

    Thanks for the reply
You wouldnt know the rate by any chance?
We are trying to make a decision to see if it's a decision we are ready to make
It would mean i would have to drive from louth to dublin for work which would be costing me a lot on petrol also

If your girlfriend applies for JSA she will get €21per week
Then you apply for FIS and you will get €90per week
Also don't forget the child benefit every month

That's a no for the move so
She gets 247 at present so that's a huge loss and I wouldn't be able to cover her losses and keep a car and job
Her rent would also go up with me moving in
We are not seeing each other long enough to make such a big sacrifice like that at the moment
    Thanks for the help

Would you not be saving the rent in your current accommodation?
If she's in social housing then yes, her rent would increase because the household income will have increased from 247 to 549 weekly
