One plus phone messed up messages

However, here's the problem: If I get a text from this number it comes from +353 85 123 4567 so the texts I send and the texts I receive appear as if they are from entirely different people (in different message threads for example).

Anyone experience this before?

*There's a chance this issue was caused by an app I used to backup all my messages when getting a new phone, but I doubt it.

Change the number to +353 format in the contacts.
