Second-hand wheels and balancing

Thinking of buying a set of nearly new tyres and alloys taken from the same model car as mine. Can I stick them straight on or do I need to get them balanced? Also would my tracking need to be done?

    Thanks!

If they were balanced properly when new, you might get away with them.

Changing wheels does not affect tracking. If it's ok now, it'll be ok with the alternate wheels.

The cost of balancing all 4 wheels is cheap enough (about €10 per wheel) so for the sake of the few quid I'd get them balanced as soon as they are fitted.

The changing of the wheels has no direct bearing on tracking.
