I am confused about what to feed our Videographer & Photographer? It says in the contract that for over 8 hours work we must give them a full course meal.
Does that mean that we must include them in our wedding meal in the dinning room? Or should we offer them to sit in the bar and order whatever they want or maybe give them the wedding meal in the bar!?? Any advice is appreciated 😊

Ours got given a wedding meal in the bar free of charge by the venue.

As the hair and makeup people had to travel to my venue I bought them lunch. Same with florist and my celebrantu

Our venue offered a meal for the photographer, we'd pay for it, but it was a fraction of the cost of the guest cost. Most venues will have an option for the photographer. They should not be in the main reception with the guests, kinda cheeky of them to ask for that. I think it's expected that they eat away from everyone. Also they should not be expecting the same meal as the guests ( unless the hotel is offering it at a lower cost...etc.).

The venue organiser should have this covered. It was one of the checklist questions she had leading up to the day.

We asked our venue to provide photographers with a meal in the bar area while we ate in the dining room.
You probably don't wants pics/videos of your guests stuffing their faces so that is the ideal time.

Hotels are used to this. Our hotel gave 3 ''supplier's meals'' in the bar for the 2 photographers and the videographer. The normal meal cost 75 per head and the suppliers meal was something like 50 per head. I assume they got the same courses as the rest of us, never asked!

We knew we'd have a couple of no shows so sent those meals out to the photo and video people. They were both there all day.
