Hi. I'm looking to get a set of tyres from either Eiretyres or Oponeo (probably Oponeo). I found a fantastic price for a set of Goodyear Eagles - I can only guess that they are selling off stock before Christmas??

Anyway, I've never got tyres this way before and am looking for a recommendation for a good tyre fitter that will take receipt of them. I'm in Leixlip but will happily travel to Lucan, Clonsilla, Blanch, Maynooth, etc.

    Thanks :)

Discount Tyres in Blanch, shouldn't cost you more than 50-60 to get them fitted there. :)

Edit: just noticed you said take receipt of them, do you mean you want to get them delivered there??

If you're doing things the online way, you get them delivered to yourself and then bring them with you to the fitter when you want to make the change.

I'd price tyres locally before buying online, I've never found tyres cheaper online compared to my usual source locally.

    Grand, thanks for the tip.

Tbh, it's as handy for me to take delivery myself - I'm usually at home during the day. Also, I don't think that Oponeo have direct 'partners' like Eiretyres do.

Good point, I'll call and check. The thing is that I've noticed that the price of the tyres I'm after have dropped substantially with Oponeo. If the local fitter can match it I guess then I'll just go with them.

Confirm that they are not old stock with degraded rubber.

Online, they could be offloading old tyres.

Got 4 Goodyears (Eff Grip) fitted for €540 the other week. They were €112 each on Oponeo, so €448 in total.

Zero messing around, and 4 tyres balanced, fitted and 4 wheel tracking for €90 is a deal as far as I'm concerned. Plus, a single point of contact if I ever have an issue.

Have you tried calling Leixlip Budget Tyres, beside Lidl? I've brought my own internet bought tyres in to them, altho mostly because nobody seems to be able to get matching tyres for my car in a decent brand at a reasonable price.

not in Dublin so cant recommend a fitter but I think it depends on the tyres as to how much you save online. For mine local tyre fitter wanted 375€ per tyre. From oponeo they are 275 each delivered even with fitting they were 85€ a tyre cheaper
