I have a Nintendo Wii, the first one.

I'm looking for two remotes, I'm finding it hard to get a hold of them.

    Any ideas? :)

I see lots for sale on adverts.ie, and the usual retailers like Smyths Argos and Amazon if you'd like a brand new one.

Sometimes its better to look at wii consoles on adverts.ie, they often come with 2 or more controllers for around the 50 mark, maybe even a few games. Two pre-owned controllers in Gamestop would be €40 anyway, might find a bargain online!

I have the console, so just need the remotes.

I found one on GameStop.ie for €24.99, I was hoping to pick one up somewhere tomorrow, so I'm just looking for an idea of where I'd buy one in store.

I had a look on Argos, as far as I can see, they don't do them. :)

The gamestop ones @24.99 are third party i.e. not made by nintendo, so while they will probably work, they wont be as good and more likely to break. I know you already have the console, but my point was that if you were buying two controllers in Gamestop for 24.99 each, and there was someone on adverts selling two controllers, a console and some games for 50 (which there very often is) then personally I'd go for the latter option.

Would you not buy a Wii remote from HMV for €55 and a nunchuk for €45? j/k

Check out Adverts, Gumtree, Donedeal, etc. for secondhand deals. Don't buy a third party one and buy one with motionplus built in.

Oddly, the best deal might be to pick up a Wii on Adverts, they can had, with games and controllers, for around €50.
