    Hi all,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, my hubby is flying to Washington DC tomorrow at 12:10 (with United in case that makes any difference) and I was wondering what time we should have him at the airport at? Some family members are saying 2 hours before, others are saying 3, others are saying more than that?

I would have thought 3 hours would have been time enough, but then seeing as it's so close to Christmas, would we need to allow extra time?

    Thanks!

    Three hours should be fine.

+1 It's always a good idea to check (at http://www.dublinairport.com/gns/flight-information/live-departures.aspx) to see how many US flights are leaving at about the same time, that will give you an idea of how many passengers will be going through pre-clearance. Tomorrow (Sun 13th) looks like the following between 11 and 12:30 ......

    11:15 New York Delta
    11:30 Boston Aer Lingus
    11:30 Chicago Aer Lingus
    12:10 Washington United
    12:20 San Francisco Aer Lingus

So three hours before would be a sensible time to arrive.
