travelling north on M9, how do you reach the Newbridge exit (exit 12) on the M7?

Merge onto the M7 and continue on to J10 (Naas south), then either come back onto the M7 going back to J12, or go to Newbridge via the old dual carriageway. You can't get directly from M7 J11 (M9) to J12.

Or, leave M9 at junction 2 for Kilcullen, take R413 to Newbridge

You can also come off at exit 2 Kilcullen and go across towards the Curragh. There is a right town before the Curragh that will bring you into Newbridge.

That's the way Google maps on my phone brought me when going to Kildare village (J13) I used to go through Nurney etc but using the better roads while being a bit longer is actually faster time-wise. Why there's no proper interchange between the two motorways is beyond me!!!

That one is even worse as there's no way to turn around until you go through the toll (twice!)
