Pump power supply issue

    Hi all,
I was wondering if someone might offer a bot of advice here. We had a rainwater collection system installed a number of years back. There is a pump which supplies the toilet from the collection tank outside. The pump however has begun to lose power during operation and won't engage afterwards unless you jiggle the wire highlighted in the picture. The thing is I don't know if that wire is soldered directly to the motor or if there is a removable connector. I'm loathe to pull to hard on it in case it's the former? Anyone familiar with this setup.
(I have emailed the manufacturer who said they would have a look but they are slow to come back with a recommendation)
    Thanks.

Looks like a connection that pulls off to me but a better picture would help.
