    Hi,
Today I purchased a 1.8 ford focus lx from a garage simi dealer. They fully serviced it etc and with warranty its a 2007.

Just noticed there is a loud sqelling wind noise from the turbo is this normal as never drove a diesel before but seems a bit loud compare to been in other cars

Anyone have one and now anything about them

Nah, that's not normal. Take it back to them. It's always a good idea to get a car checked out by a independent mechanic that has no association with the dealer you're buying from.

Might be a torn turbo pipe or a hole in the intercooler. Go back to the garage with it and ask them.

The intercooler pipe going onto the inlet manifold split on those its on the left hand side as you look into the engine little short rubber pipe with 90 degree bend.

My Ford Focus 2008 is making similar noise , did you ever discover what the cause was?

Did you check the pipe as per the previous post?
