To be honest im just throwing it out there..no plan as such. Im in tallaght but can travel, have access to rehersal rooms in tallaght fairly cheap. Could be interesting. Was thinking of guitar (2),banjo,slide guitar and harmony vocals maybe violin would be nice. Covers of john prine, mary black, james taylor, john hartford, guy clark, eagles covers..that kind of thing. Easy listening basically. Will pm on monday after i have a proper think about it.

Guys, this is a two year old (plus) thread. If the band has not got off the ground in that time...it never will...;)

Heya, I'm a Blues/Folk singer just moved back to Dublin after a few years living abroad.

If you are interested in getting something going I' be interested.

I'm into Nathaniel Rateliff sort of stuff if that gives you an idea of what I'd like to do.

    Hi Barry,

Yeah man, I'm Dublin based also, My initial plan was to put a 4/5 piece together doing a mixed bag of straight up Blues/ 40's R'n'B/ Delta Blues/ Western Swing/ Country Blues.
Looking for a solid Lead/Slide Guitar Player, A Double Bass/Tea Chest, A Harp Player and A Percussive/Cojon/Washboard Player.
Lots of 12 Bar but up tempo stuff..( cause we're gonna get the folks movin')
Howlin' Wolf, John Lee, Little Walter, Rosco Gordon, Louis Jordan,Tom Waits, Wynonie Harris, Muddy Waters....

    Hi NonFiction,

That sounds really great to me. Exactly the kind of thing I was imagining. I'm just a singer myself, would that still be useful?

Barry, You still up for this?
Let me know and we can meet up during the week if that suits.
    Ta, john.
