So on Wednesday we got the long awaited efibre installed, new modem which is the f2000.

When I do a speed test through the desktop (Wired) I don't get anything above 7mbps

Whereas if I do a speed test on the phone (wirelessly) I'm getting 60-64 mbps

What is going on?? Any help appreciated :o

I've just done a speed test on a laptop and I'm getting 64/65 mbps so it's not the modem, it's the computer :o

Link is falling back to 10Mb instead of 100Mb(or 1000 on new devices).

Most common cause is bad cabling, or homeplugs if you have them. Check everything is secure and the cable didnt get nicked.

    Thanks for the reply!

Ran a speed test on the laptop (wired) with the same Ethernet cable and I'm getting 64-65 mbps :(

Your desktop probably has a 10mb lan adapter.

If you're sure it's higher, check your bios settings and driver updates.

    FIXED!

I was pr!cking around in device manager, network adapters and in speed/duplex settings it was set to 10MB Full Duplex so I changed it to 100MB full duplex and bob's your uncle :)

    Thanks for the suggestions!
