Just looking for a bit of help. Thinking about changing car and would appreciate suggestions as to what to look at. Currently driving Skoda Octavia 12 diesel 1.6. Commute morning and evening is around 30 mins split between country road and a main road. Generally straight driving no stopping and starting. Do a good bit of mileage for work also. One child and another on the way so a decent pram size boot would be very helpful! Open to any suggestions and would consider either second hand or new. Was thinking some type of Suv or even a jeep but not sure how realistic this is. Any suggestions as to what I should should consider appreciated.

How do you feel the Octavia would do the job you describe?

Your current car should be well up to the task OP.

Thanks for the replies. I should have said the car I have is very low spec it doesn't even have central locking. I have to put the key in the door to lock and unlock every time! That's one of the main reasons looking to change.

Did you buy the car new, I would have thought an Octavia that new would have remote locking.
Most SUVs I'll have a smaller boot than your own car and will use more fuel.
