I've finished all the big RPGs of the year and I'm looking for a good multiplayer FPS to keep me going for a while. I haven't gotten stuck into a good multiplayer FPS in over a year. Just wondering yer opinion on quality meaty shooters. I can only justify buying 1 also.

I really enjoyed Battlefield 4. Had it's issues for ages but I think they've sorted them all out. Haven't played in ages though as I have a Destiny problem. Destiny MP can be a bit hit and miss but a lot of fun.
The new Battlefront is supposed to be good too although I'm holding off on picking it up.

The new call of duty is a return to form, so much better than advanced warfare or ghosts, I was almost gone off the series but this is really good, better if your in a party but good solo aswell, not touched the campaign at all tho

Thanks both of ye. I got Bf4 on launch with my ps4. Had fun with it but I find the maps aren't as well designed as they were in bad company 2 Which was amazing. I dropped off of CoD after black ops 1. I've played bits and bobs over the years but haven't sunk my teeth in like the good old days. I'm tempted but not sure about Black ops 3 yet. I adored the Star wars battlefront beta but the lack of content makes it difficult to justify the 60 beans. Have destiny and given it multiple chances but it just doesn't grab me.

Planetside 2 is a ton of fun. It's an F2P multiplayer FPS. You could potentially end up with around 200 people in one section of the map, fighting over one point.

It is free, with weapons and items that can be purchased, but you gain credits in-game, that can be used towards these.

Obviously it depends on your preferred play style, and I'm definitely biased, but I honestly can't see how anyone can look past Battlefield. I know you said the BF4 maps weren't great, but DICE have changed the MCOM locations on a lot of the Rush maps in the last year or so. Lots of balancing and adjusting to weapons and vehicles so even Conquest plays differently to how I suspect you remember it. There are 2 new night time maps coming soon on top of the 1 we already have. Dragon Valley from Battlefield 2 has also been reimagined for the newer Frostbite engine....all as free dlc.

We've a fairly active Platoon here on Boards as well that you're more than welcome to jump on with for a few games.

For me personally, the 32v32, vehicle heavy, Squad orientated, 25+ minute back and forth battles are what make it the best FPS of 2015.

I was mad into Rush in Bad Company 2 because the maps just seemed tighter. It's like all the action was focused on just 2 points in the map. I'm also not a fan of vehicles. To me they are just a distraction and a nuisance.

    That's almost blasphemy :pac:

Black Ops... ha ha, did someone mention that as good and did someone say vehicles were a nuisance in battlefield?

Think it is time to leave this thread... forever
