Hi, hope this is the best place to ask. So my little girl has sprung on me that she wants a wii u with Mario maker off Santa.
This is what I get for getting her the 3ds for her birthday! I'm usually quite good with technology but I'm out of my depth here and really don't have much time to research.
She only wants the wii u for Mario maker and Mario maker alone and tells me that u can only get it on the wii u.
So I've been looking and Argos and Smyths are out of stock of the Mario edition. I've sourced one on Amazon fr or de, can't remember, for €312 delivered. Does anyone know if it would be a different language or are they all the same? Or could anyone point me in the direction of a cheaper one or equivalent that I could get in Ireland.

    Thanks in advance.

It wouldn't be a different language from Amazon FR or DE, so no issue ordering from them. But you will probably have to buy a UK power adapter.

The best wii u deal at the moment is this https://www.alza.co.uk/nintendo-wii-u-black-premium-pack-32gb-mario-kart-8-splatoon-d3754128.htm Nintendo Wii U Black Premium Pack (32GB) + Mario Kart 8 + Splatoon + New Super Mario Bros. for €297. You could trade those three games into CEX and get €70 back for them, then buy mario maker with that money and it works out around €280 spent overall.

Or you could always buy the game and console separate in any Irish store

Thank you for your reply. Will definitely look into getting that one and the Mario maker Separately. I'm sure she will be happy having other games to play when she gets bored with Mario maker but apparently this isn't possible. :)

    That's a great Wii U deal, I wish I'd seen it sooner.

    You'ld have a hard time trading-in a pre-installed MK8 and a digital copy of Splatoon though...

Maybe get this one. Its the basic version so not as good as the premium one but maybe you could sell the 3 games that come with it and get the game your daughter wants.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
