I just got a new to me Mazda 6 (2010 1.8 petrol salon)
The button on the boot don't work and it can only be opened with the key.
The part cost 55 euro and I'm only 95% sure its the problem but to be sure I need to take the trim off the inside of the boot lid to test it.
I don't want to start ripping trim off my new car and breaking clips ,so I'm hoping someone here can advise me how too .
I'm not bad at all with spanners but I hate and have no patience with fiddly bits like this and I dont want to break it .
    Any help appreciated thanks. OAP

Like I said I'm not sure and need to test it first.
    What is your diagnosis anyway.

Could be cracked wire in loom, anyway that is my educated guess. I would find the problem first before throwing parts at it.

We agree so because that's exactly what I'm doing.
The switch is a common problem on this model though.
