    Hi,

Just after moving into a new build in Castlebar. I have ducting from the road to the telecoms port installed. Every room in the house has CAT6. My question is what should i do. I live 2 miles from the town. Fibre is 400 metres away from our estate on the main road. I would love the ultra fast BB. Should I wait until Castlebar goes live with Siro or shoud i get BB installed now? and by whom?

My neighbours are with EIR and getting circa 9-12 mbps which is crap really.

    Any advice please.

Really it depends if you can wait or not! And how long it will take Siro to get there, it could be a while.

Personally I'd get Eir now and then get Siro as soon as it is available. Sure that might mean you are paying double for a few months overlap, but it would be well worth it for a high quality connection and there are much worse problems to have like all the people stuck on 1mb/s and no sign of FTTH for a long time to come!

Firstly is make sure it'll be easy to push fiber up through your duct to the inside on your house.

Secondly I'd probably go with efiber with Vodafone for now.

Vodafone work well for me and there fairy competitive.
