Just wondering does anyone what discount do staff get in halpennys?

In saying you can haggle, are they still worth going to, are there genuine bargains to be had?

They generally have maybe 10 items with a big discount, the rest varies. If you know what u want it will be cheaper.

I needed a bag and a present for my brother, there was a nice Wilson bag for €110. Got two of them for €150, did take a bit of haggling though.

Im not even very good at it!
Find the young guy and deal with him, he was maybe new so he didn't really know how much to sell anything for!

Think i got a bit lucky. Just go in and offer a bit less than the asking price and they will come down

Check their online prices .... I have caught them using old shop prices and when questioned about it being cheaper on their web site, it was 'oh sorry I didnt know the price had come down, no problem' and with the push of a button the online price popped up on the till!!

Know what you want and what the best price is elsewhere as the reductions are skewed to show better value, not that it matters if the price is right.

Yeah I've been caught by this before. Paid €85 for a pair of shoes in store only to see them as €75 online that very night. Needless to say I wasn't very impressed. In the end I ordered them online and returned the ones bought in store. Happened with some balls as well.

Would it not be fair to say most companies have a cheaper price for online purchases
