Two excellent VPN providers having deals for the weekend that is in it.

Private Internet Access are offering 65% off a one year subscription for $29 - https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/black-friday-offer.

BlackVPN are offering a 50% off (coupon code: blackvpnfriday) on their subscription fees, for example, giving an annual cost of €24.50 for their Privacy package (includes being able to access TV/Netflix/iPlayer etc. in the US/UK) - http://www.blackvpn.com.

You'll find a review of the important stuff for both as well as numerous others here: https://torrentfreak.com/anonymous-vpn-service-provider-review-2015-150228/

Either of these are excellent VPNs (have used blackvpn myself for the last 3 or so years with no issues and PIA is well known as one of the best).

If anyone prefers other VPNs, signup to the email list at BestVPN.com.

They are currently giving access to subscription discounts through that email to the following:

ExpressVPN's offer is out tomorrow (Cyber Monday)
SaferVPN is up to 65% off
LeVPN is up to 60% off, and
    Hotspot Shield is 50% off

Stacksocial have a lifetime (30 year) subscription to getflix for $39. It's a smart dns service that also gives you a VPN to use on up to 3 devices. They're the same company as smart DNS proxy as far as I know.

Stack social have a 15% black friday code which may still work (BLACKFRIDAY). That would bring it down to ~$33.

    That's for their global package.

On the main page, click the Buy Now button. There are then three switches. Make sure the last two of the three are switched off (the "Remove our US VPNs" and the "Remove our UK VPNs" - you don't really need them anyway as BlackVPN have access to iPlayer (UK) and Hulu (US) built into any of their VPN servers you connect to).

So, click the boxes to switch them off, and the "Your Package" item on the right switches to Privacy - that's the €49 one.

Apply the coupon code on the next page and you get it for €24.50 for the year.

does anyone know if you are in another country can you use any of these vpns to watch rte player?

Do you have a computer running all the time in your Irish home, NAS etc? Some allow you to run your own VPN such as OpenVPN which allows you to connect to your home network when away, thus allowing you to access RTE player without any paid VPN.

If you have something like a Smart DNS on your home Irish network you can use it where ever you are in the world. I use OpenVPN on a fire stick and no matter where I am I can use the Smart DNS as if I am at home to access all my streaming services. The OVPN is also usefully when using public WiFi.

What's the business model for VPN companies who offer such deep discounts and advertise so much?
